Description
I turned these cute little mice from the wood of a big beech tree that fell in a storm. I left the branches in the woods for a couple of years until they had spalted. Spalting is caused by the growth of fungus in the wood, and may take the form of zones of colour or black lines that wander over the surface. The mice are about 6 cm in length, not counting their tails. They vary in size, some having grown a bit fatter than others.
