Spalted beech bowl, 14 cm

Description

This small bowl is one of a series that I turned from the branches of a beech tree that fell in a storm. I left the branches among the trees, covered with leaves, until fungus had done its work. The wood has an intricate network of fine black lines created by the fungus growing in it.
