Description
This small but chunky ash dish was turned from a small log of ash. The wood had some small natural fissures, which I filled with crushed mussel shell inlay. The blue and grey shell fragments came from a Cornish beach and resemble granite. There are two patches of dark coloured wood. The paler part of the wood surface has unusual reflective properties, making it change in appearance depending on the direction of view. I have not seen this effect before.
