Salad bowl made of Robinia, 24 cm

Description

Robinia is also known as false acacia. It is a hard wood, with  yellow-brown heartwood and pale sapwood, which shows as a white flash at the rim of this bowl. This log came from local woodland, where non-native species were being culled.
