Rippled ash bowl, 18 cm

Description

This plain and simple bowl is made of ash wood. I got the wood from a local tree surgeon’s waste pile. When I cut into it I discovered that the wood had strong ripple figure, which forms when the timber grows under compression. This is an attractive little bowl that could be used for fruit, salad or other purposes. It is 18 cm across.
