Description
This striking bowl is one of a series that I turned using plumwood from a Hampstead tree that fell in a storm, crushing a parked car as it did so. The freshly cut wood has vivid red/purple streaks, though they may fade to a rich red/brown. It has a flash of pale sapwood at the rim. It could be used for fruit or salad.
