This natural edge bowl bowl is made of ash wood and has retained its bark. Its rim is part of the original surface of the tree. Ash is a strong wood, with a pale colour.
It is 26 cm across at maximum, but only 20.5 cm at minimum. I turned some small decorative rings at the foot. The bowl has some rippled figure, and the tree’s annual growth rings run around the walls.
This would make a good fruit bowl, but is not suitable for salad because the narrow bark rim would not stand up to frequent washing.
