Large elm bowl, 32 cm

Description

This is one of the bowls that came from a big elm tree that fell during Storm Eunice in early 2022. Elm is an uncommon tree in my area, due to the disease that did so much damage in the 1980s. This bowl has a number of small burr patches, where the wood has little knots, each with a small natural fissure. A fine bowl for fruit, but not suitable for salad or other moist food.
