This bowl is made from eucalyptus that came from a local tree worker. There are many varieties of eucalyptus, and this one is particularly hard, so much so that the person I got it from was unable to split the logs with an axe. The wood was still fresh when I got it, and I turned it while still unseasoned. As it dried, the bowl warped, taking on an organic shape and some surface texture. It has a wavy rim. It could hold some fruit or other items, or could be used as a small salad bowl.
