Green turned Robinia bowl, 23 cm

Description

I turned this bowl from a freshly felled log. The tree grew in the street and had to be cut down by the highway authority. As the bowl dried, it took on a slightly oval shape. It has a bark inclusion but would make a good fruit bowl. Robinia is often called acacia. The wood has a yellow colour when fresh, and will darken with time.
