Description
This bowl is made of beechwood from a large tree that came down in a storm. The tree was about 80 feet tall and grew in a private garden in Mill Hill in North London. I cut it from a crotch, where branches diverged, and there is a line of crotch figure across the bottom. As the bowl dried after turning, it took on a surface texture. It still has its bark, complete with lichen. It would make an interesting and unusual fruit bow, or could be used for salad.
