This is one of several small boxes that I turned from a chunk of burr sycamore. The contrasting lid is made of oak. The wood has some small bark inclusions and the complex grain of burred timber. The lid fits loosely so can be removed with one hand. This box has some small areas remaining of the natural surface that was originally covered with bark. Square on the outside, it has a turned interior. It measures 7 cm to the top of the lid.
