Description
You can enroll on a spindle turning class here. The class provides excellent value. As the only student, you will benefit from true one-to-one tuition. People booking this class usually have their own workshop, and often have tried turning before. But no previous experience is necessary for the class. During the class, you will be able to work at your own pace. You will learn and practice the correct use of spindle turning tools. We won’t aim to make any specific item, though there is usually time to complete a small project. Light refreshments are provided.
Dates
One to one classes can be very flexible, so I don’t have a set schedule for them. They are arranged to suit you. After payment, just contact me by phone or email to suggest some dates that would work for you. You can do that immediately, or leave it till later if you wish, though if you need a specific date it is best to arrange it early.
I shall send you some information about the class, but don’t hesitate to contact me with any questions you may have about the class or the booking.

If you are booking a class as a gift for someone, I can email you a gift voucher to print and present to them.
The booking is valid indefinitely. If the class has to be cancelled for any reason, it can be rescheduled or the cost can be refunded.

I’ve been mainly turning bowls as a hobby for a couple of years but needed more guidance for spindle turning, especially to increase my confidence using the skew and spindle gouge. Thank you Terry for a great introduction to Spindle Turning. I’ve never used a lathe before and Terry went through the different types of tools to use for different effects and then let me loose on the lathe to practice using the different chisels.
