This little ash wood bowl is only 10.5 cm across, but deep enough to hold small items. It has some crotch figure. But its main feature is the darker wood of what was once a branch. Long before the tree came down, someone sawed off a branch close to the trunk, leaving just a stump. Eventually the living tree enclosed it, sealing it in beneath an area of disturbed grain. The result is what you see here, an interesting and attractive piece.
