Description
I turned this bowl from a piece of figured ash wood. It has rippled grain and some crotch figure too. Ripple develops where a large branch joins the trunk. The weight of the branch compresses the timber as it grows, leaving the actually smooth, polished surface of the bowl with a corrugated appearance. It could be used for nuts, fruit, or as a small salad bowl.
