This spalted beech bowl is 15 cm across. It has a richer colour than beech often does. The spalted zones, delineated with black lines, cover one side of the bowl. There are some black speckles on the other side because spalting was still developing. The spalted areas are quite porous, so not suitable for moist food. You could use this bowl for nuts or other dry things. The bowl has a classic inverted bell shape.
